Busy, busy, busy…

June 20, 2012

As we begin to wrap up another amazing year at Elizabeth Park, we wanted to share with you a few celebrations and special events that are coming up this week and next:

Friday, June 22

8:00 — Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast

Our volunteers are a crucial part to our school community and whether it was reading with students in the classroom, creating materials for lessons, or helping out on field trips, there are a lot of things that are valued at EPPS that wouldn’t be possible without you. As a token of our appreciation, Ms. Flanders and the EPPS team are inviting you to a breakfast in your honour this Friday morning. We hope to see you there so we can thank you in person!

1:25 — School Picnic

A yearly favourite (and the weather will be better this year!), it’s a time for our community to come together to celebrate the year and head off into the summer holidays. Mr. Burrows and his team have been busily preparing fun activities for all to enjoy.

Tuesday, June 26

10:00 — Morning kindergarten graduation

2:00 — Afternoon kindergarten graduation

Our little ones are growing so quickly!  Where did the time go? Many thanks to Ms. Ferri, Mme Petit-Frere and Miss Robinson for all their work in supporting our youngest learners. Now it’s time to celebrate their accomplishments!

Wednesday, June 27

9:30 — Grade 8 Leaving Ceremony

Another community of kids are off to the big, wide world of high school. Grade 8 parents are invited to attend our leaving ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of our esteemed elders, and to wish them well as they begin a whole new chapter in their lives. We are asking that attendance be limited to the parents/families only, so we don’t encourage that younger siblings be pulled out of class to attend.

We look forward to a amazing end-of-year!
